For designers

A designer portfolio for the part your case studies leave out.

Case studies show how you think. A hiring manager also wants the plain facts: where you worked, for how long, and on what. This page puts that career in one link, and points to the case studies you already have.

What belongs on it

Five things a reviewer looks for.

  1. 01

Your role on each project, in one line

“Design lead, two designers, checkout redesign” tells a reviewer more than a hero image. Team size and your part in it are the first things people look for.

  2. 02

    Three projects, not thirty

Pick the work you want more of. A UX designer applying for product roles should lead with product work, even if the brand project looks better.

  3. 03

What changed because of the work

A number if you have one, a decision if you do not. “The team shipped the second option” is an outcome too.

  4. 04

Links out to the full case studies

Keep the long write-ups where they live, on Behance, Notion, or your own site. This page is the short version that gets someone to click through.

  5. 05

A photo and a short story

Design hiring is personal. Two or three sentences about how you work, written by you, are worth the space.

  6. Leave out

    • Student work, once you have two years of paid work.
    • Tool lists. Figma is assumed.
    • Process diagrams that could belong to any project.

Where the page comes from

Start from what you already have.

CV as a PDF

Roles, studios, dates, and education are read from the file. A LinkedIn profile saved to PDF works the same way.

Behance or your own site

Add the public page and its projects are pulled into the draft, with links back to the originals.

Fifteen templates

Each template has its own type, color, and motion, and you can switch between them without re-entering anything. Pick the one that sits well next to your work, not the loudest.

The three steps are on the homepage. The price is on the pricing page.

Questions

Is this a replacement for my case study site?

No. It does not host long case studies. It is a career page: roles, projects, and a story, with links to the full work. Many designers send both.

Does it work for UX, product, and graphic designers?

Yes. The page is built from your roles and projects, so it follows whatever your career has been. The example on this page is a product design lead.

Can I change how it looks?

You choose one of fifteen templates and an accent color. The layout inside a template is fixed, which is the point: the page is ready in minutes.

What does it cost?

Publishing is free, with a small “Made with pathfol.com” bar on the page. One payment of $29 removes it. There is no monthly charge.

Bring a CV. Leave with a link.

The draft is private until you say it is right. Publishing is free on pathfol.com.
